The Deco Tech X Series of vacuum bed UV exposure units are designed specifically for photo etching polymer pad printing clichés (aka pad printing plates). Our X Series units feature an attractive low profile powder coated aluminum case, and they’re outfitted with a precision digital timer control which is programmable from 0 to 999 seconds.  The control panel is well laid out and easy to use via the membrane panel with LED readout.

The UV lamps are located inside the top cover for fast and easy pad printing cliché processing/ exposures and the lid smoothly raises and lowers with gas struts.  Furthermore the X Series units feature a safety light shut-off device to prevent operation with the cover raised.

Operation of the X Series exposure unit is straightforward... simply place the cliché and film inside the blanket cover, close the lid, set the time value (in seconds), and press the start button.  The integrated vacuum pump first removes the air from the blanket/ chamber to ensure perfect contact between art film and cliché. After proper vacuum level has been achieved, the exposure cycle automatically begins.  During the exposure, the timer counts down and once the cycle is complete, the display returns to the original setting, the exposure complete light illuminates and the buzzer sounds for 3 seconds. (Note: the lid can only be released after pressing the vacuum release button)  The exposure complete light will remain on until the top is lifted, which acts as a safeguard against the possibility of double exposing your clichés.

The X Series cliché exposure units is able to handle large sized clichés up to 370 x 600mm (14.56” x 23.6”) and also available as a smaller sized unit that can handle pad printing clichés up to 330 x 360mm (12.99” x 14.17”).
