Production Overview

High-Volume Automatic Bucket & Pail Screen Printing

The DT-1000 JUMBO is an industrial cylindrical screen printing machine designed for large round containers such as 5-gallon buckets, paint pails and other rigid cylindrical parts. Deco Tech reviews the actual container, artwork, color count and required output to confirm the correct line length, tooling and process package.

The fully automatic bucket printing line combines container separation and orientation, LP-gas flame treatment, screen printing, UV curing and conveyorized transfer between stations. This straight-through print-and-cure process is designed for high-volume pail and bucket production where repeatability, consistent registration and efficient handling are critical.

Load Stacked Buckets and Let the Line Feed Automatically

The DT-1000 infeed system is designed to reduce repetitive operator handling. Nested buckets are loaded onto the conveyor, automatically separated, and transferred into the printing line in a controlled orientation.

Automated Surface Preparation

Dual-Station Flame Treatment Before Printing

Before the first print color is applied, buckets pass through an integrated dual-station flame-treatment system. The automatic pre-treatment process prepares compatible plastic surfaces for improved screen printing ink adhesion without requiring a separate manual operation.

Up to 360° Printing Around a 5-Gallon Bucket

The DT-1000 combines a large screen frame, controlled container rotation, and an industrial squeegee system to print around the circumference of a 5-gallon bucket. This allows large graphics and wraparound artwork to be applied in a controlled automatic cycle.

UV Curing After Every Screen Printing Station

Each print station is followed by a UV curing system so the freshly printed color is cured before the bucket advances to the next color station. This print-and-cure sequence is repeated throughout multi-color configurations for controlled color-to-color production.

Finished Buckets Exit Ready for Automatic Restacking

After the final color is cured, completed buckets transfer onto the outfeed system for automatic handling. The line can be configured to stack finished buckets in the requested orientation, reducing manual handling at the end of production.

Industrial Applications

Automatic Screen Printing for 5-Gallon Buckets, Pails & Large Containers

The DT-1000 is optimized around large cylindrical container decoration. Final tooling and machine suitability are confirmed from the actual part, artwork and required production rate.

5-Gallon BucketsHigh-volume multi-color decoration for large plastic bucket production.
Paint & Industrial PailsPaint, chemical, adhesive and other industrial pail printing applications.
Large Water ContainersLarge cylindrical water and beverage-container decoration.
Kegs & Large CanistersSelected round beverage, metal and oversized cylindrical containers.
Plastic, Metal & GlassApplication-dependent printing on compatible rigid round substrates.

Modular Production Line

Configure the DT-1000 JUMBO from 1 to 6 Colors

Print and UV stations are added to match the required artwork. The overall machine length and weight increase as additional color stations are added.

Build the line around the artwork.

A one-color production line uses one print head and one UV system. Multi-color systems repeat the print-and-cure sequence for each additional color. Exact 5- and 6-color footprints should be confirmed with Deco Tech during project review.

Frequently Asked Questions

DT-1000 JUMBO Automatic Bucket Screen Printing FAQ

What is the DT-1000 JUMBO designed to print?

The DT-1000 is designed primarily for automatic screen printing on 5-gallon buckets, industrial pails and other large round containers. Final machine qualification is based on the container dimensions, taper, substrate, artwork and handling requirements.

Is the DT-1000 JUMBO a fully automatic bucket printing machine?

Yes. The DT-1000 integrates bucket infeed and separation, flame pre-treatment, screen printing, UV curing, conveyorized transfer and automatic outfeed into one production line.

What is the maximum container diameter?

The published maximum container diameter is up to 350 mm (13.78 in.). Final suitability depends on the actual container geometry, taper, artwork and tooling requirements.

What is the maximum screen printing area?

The maximum published print area is 900 × 250 mm (35.4 × 9.8 in.), supporting large graphics and qualified wraparound bucket printing applications.

Can the DT-1000 print around the entire bucket?

Yes. Qualified applications can be configured for up to 360° wraparound printing around a 5-gallon bucket using controlled container rotation and a large screen-printing image area.

How many colors can the DT-1000 JUMBO print?

The DT-1000 JUMBO is available in 1–6 color configurations. Multi-color lines repeat the screen-printing and UV-curing sequence for each additional color.

Does the machine automatically flame treat the buckets?

Yes. The line incorporates a dual-station automated flame-treatment system before printing to prepare compatible plastic surfaces for ink adhesion.

Is LED UV curing available?

Yes. Mercury-halide UV curing is the standard configuration, and LED UV curing is available as an option. Each print station is followed by a curing system so the color is cured before the bucket advances to the next print station.

Can the infeed conveyor be made longer?

Yes. The standard infeed conveyor is 2 meters, and the conveyor length can be configured to the production requirement to provide additional loading capacity and easier operator handling.

Can finished buckets be automatically restacked?

Yes. The outfeed system can be configured for automatic stacking in the requested orientation, and an optional horizontal restacking system can also be incorporated into the line.

How fast is the machine?

Maximum rated capacity is up to 22 pieces per minute, or 1,320 pieces per hour. Actual production speed depends on the container, artwork, number of colors, ink and curing requirements.
