We are located in the United States and this is a U.S.-based website. By using this site, you agree to the transfer of your personal information to or within the United States. YouTube

This website contains YouTube videos that can be played directly. YouTube is a service operated by YouTube LLC, a subsidiary of Google LLC, 901 Cherry Avenue, San Bruno, CA 94066, USA. All videos are integrated in “extended privacy mode”. This means that no details about you as the user will be sent to YouTube if you do not play a video. Data is transmitted once you play a video. We have no influence over this transfer of data.

When you access our website, YouTube is notified that you have accessed the corresponding URL on our website via the map function. The data described in item 1 of this Privacy Policy is also transmitted. The data is transmitted irrespective of whether you have a YouTube user account, or you are logged into it. If you are logged into a YouTube user account, Google can associate your visit with that account. YouTube processes your data and creates profiles for the purpose of improving YouTube, but also to offer advertising and conduct market research. You can object to your data being used in this way by contacting Google directly.

You are able send us a message via the contact form that is provided on this website. You will need to provide a valid email address so that we can respond to your inquiry. You can also provide additional details voluntarily. We collect your first name and surname in order to send you a personalized response.

The transmitted data is stored and used for the purpose of responding to your inquiry, contacting you and performing the corresponding technical measures.

Data processing when you contact us is based on Art. 6(1)(1a) GDPR. The lawful basis is the consent that you provide voluntarily. A further lawful basis for processing the data is our legitimate interest in responding to your inquiry pursuant to Art. 6(1)(1f) GDPR.

When you send us a letter or a fax, we process the personal data contained in it as well as the communicated subject matter. Only the data that is needed for the aforementioned purposes is processed.

Newsletter subscription

We will only send our newsletter to your email address on a regular basis if you have provided your explicit consent according to Art. 6(1)(1a) GDPR. In order to receive the newsletter, you only have to provide your email address, title and surname. We collect the title and surname for the purpose of addressing you personally. For the newsletter subscription process, we use the “double opt-in” method.

After subscribing, you will receive an email in which you must confirm the subscription. This is necessary to verify that it is you who has registered and that the email address belongs to you. Newsletter subscriptions are logged as proof that the registration process corresponds with the legal requirements. This includes storing the time of the registration and confirmation as well as the IP address.

You can unsubscribe via the link at the bottom of each newsletter or by emailing us at sales@decotechgroup.com. You will no longer receive the newsletter if you do so.

We use “MailChimp” to send out the newsletter (operator: Rocket Science Group LLC, 675 Ponce De Leon Ave NE #5000, Atlanta, GA 30308, USA). The lawful basis for the use of MailChimp is Art. 6(1)(1f) GDPR. We have concluded a data processing agreement with the provider. MailChimp may use the details of the newsletter recipient in anonymous form for the purpose of optimizing the service, designing the appearance of the newsletters or for statistical purposes. MailChimp will not contact you directly, nor will it share your details.

Contractual relationships and fulfillment of other legal obligations

If you enter into a contractual relationship with us, if a pre-contractual obligation exists (contract initiation) or if we have any other legal obligations toward you, we will collect the following details:

  • title
  • first name and surname
  • address
  • fixed line and/or mobile number
  • email address
  • first name and surname of the contact person at the company
  • information that is needed for contract initiation, performance of the contract or fulfillment of other legal obligations toward you.

Nature and purposes of processing

  • to identify you during contract initiation, as a contracting party or for other legal entitlements
  • to take pre-contractual steps, execute the contractual relationship or meet other legal obligations toward you
  • to engage in correspondence with you
  • for billing

The lawful basis for processing the data is Art. 6(1)(1b, c, f) GDPR. It is necessary to process data for the specified purposes in order to ensure proper performance of the contract and to meet any other legal obligations toward you.

The personal data will be deleted after these objectives have been met, provided that it is not subject to any statutory retention obligations.

Sharing of data

Your personal data will only be shared with third parties if:

  • you have provided your explicit consent pursuant to Art. 6(1)(1a) GDPR,
  • disclosure is necessary in order to establish, exercise or defend legal claims pursuant to Art. 6(1)(1a) GDPR and it cannot be assumed that you have an overriding legitimate interest in your data not being shared,
  • there is a legal obligation to share the data pursuant to Art. 6(1)(1c) GDPR,
  • disclosure is permitted by law and required for the performance of a contract with you pursuant to Art. 6(1)(1b) GDPR.

Except for these purposes, your data will not be shared with third parties in any other way.

Data subject rights

You have the following rights:

  • under Art. 15 GDPR, the right to request whether your personal data is being processed. If your personal data is being processed, you have the right to be informed of which data as well as the right to be given the following information:

Right of objection

If your personal data is processed on the basis of the legitimate interest pursuant to Art 6(1)(1f) GDPR, you are entitled under Art. 21 GDPR to object to your personal data being processed if you can provide reasons that relate to your particular situation or if you are objecting to your data being processed for direct marketing purposes. Data security

On this website, the SSL procedure is used in conjunction with the highest level of encryption supported by your browser. This is usually 256-bit encryption. For your own security, the web server will enforce the SSL version. The SSL certificate is regularly renewed upon expiry. You can tell whether a page is being transmitted with encryption by looking for the key or lock symbol in the top or bottom bar of your browser. In addition, technical and organizational security measures are taken to protect your data against accidental or intentional changes, partial or complete loss, destruction or unauthorized access by third parties. These technical measures are continuously improved or adapted in accordance with technical progress.
